Private Waterfront Camper Relaxation at Peppermint Cove
The space
Our place is quiet and private in a safe HOA neighborhood with abundant wildlife to watch. We do accept pets, so please let me know at booking if your bringing a pet/ESA/Service animal for pet policy info and rules. A $25 pet fee is charged at booking for pets and ESA’s.
Directly across the private road from our camper (approx walk distance from camper to the water is 200ft.) is our waterfront access with a small dock where you can fish, swim, play on the swim mat, paddle boat, or relax in the hammock or by the fire pit by the water. The average entire depth of our Cove is 4-6 ft. deep. During certain times of the year (usually around early spring & late summer) the lake level will be much lower making it impossible to launch a watercraft and tie to our dock. At the camper you will have an outdoor kitchen equipped with a gas grill, sink, SatelliteTV (TV’s also inside in living room and the bunkhouse room), and mini fridge for your cold beverage. An outdoor lounge area with table and chairs and another fire pit (with grate to cook on) and a picnic table under the awning. The underneath front storage has a cornhole game, lounge and camp chairs, sleeping bags, (Adult and Kids) life jackets for the paddle boat, cooler with wheels, hotdog sticks, fishing poles (Adult and Kids)/tackle, bug/ mosquito repellent spray, and lighter for the fire pit. Firewood is provided, lighter fluid or fire starter is not (guests do leave them at times for your use). Our camper is cleaned, sanitized, and towels, bedding are changed after every checkout to hosts cleaning standards for your stay. We will check for any missing items and damage inside and outside after every checkout. Any damages or house rules not followed could result in extra charges.
Guest access
Access to over an acre of green space, lake access, and 2 miles of gravel road for walking and biking. Also access to the ( Beaver Creek ) HOA boat launch just 100 yards past our rental down the road on the left side. NO BOATS LARGER THAN 20 FT are allowed on the boat launch ramp because it is very narrow. If your boat is small enough, you can drive over and tie to our private dock. DO NOT leave your vehicle parked anywhere at the boat ramp area. Certain times of the year (early spring and late summer) the lake level is very low in our cove making it impossible to launch and tie to our dock, so please let me know if you plan to bring your own watercraft at booking. If you have a boat larger than 20 ft you can launch at Drake Harbor. It is a public access to launch watercrafts into Lake of the Ozarks (which is what lake we are located on) and you are able to drive downstream to our cove. If you want to launch on Truman Lake, Sterett Creek and Long Shoal are public access boat launch’s also. Those DO NOT connect to Lake of the Ozarks where we are located.
Other things to note
Our property by the water starts at the yellow rope fencing and goes to the low water crossing. The camper property is directly across from that. Please stay on the mowed or gravel areas around the camper and by the water. DO NOT drive on the grass by the water. No trespassing on our neighbors properties!
