Warsaw's City Government consists of a Mayor and six Aldermen. The City is divided into three Wards, with two Aldermen from each Ward. Elections are held each year, with one Alderman position from each Ward being re-elected. The position of Mayor is open for re-election every two years.

To assist the Board of Aldermen and Mayor, there are seven Boards and Commissions; Airport, Park , Board of Adjustments, Planning and Zoning, ADA Advisory Board and Police Commission.
